FAQ ABOUT HOT TUBS
Another perk of acquiring a hot tub is having the ability to detoxify your body at home. Before using your hot tub, take a bath or shower so you can scrub your skin with a coarse washcloth to exfoliate and allow your pores to breathe. Soaking in the warm hot tub will cause your core temperature to rise, and your body will begin to sweat. As a result, your body will flush any toxins via your pores. To complete the process, take a quick shower after your hot tub session to rinse any impurities that remain on your skin’s surface.
The price of a hot tub in Salt Lake City will vary greatly depending on its quality, features, size, engineering, and design, among other factors. Other aspects in play when determining hot tub costs are dealer location and freight costs, dealer overhead, and services such as repairs that are included as part of the hot tub package. General price ranges for hot tubs are:
Entry-level hot tubs – $3,000-$5,000
Value-priced hot tubs – $4,000-$8,000
Premium hot tubs – $6,000-$10,000
Luxury hot tubs – $9,000-$16,000
The most significant difference between a hot tub and a spa is the setting. A hot tub is essentially an above-ground portable spa. All of its plumbing, components, and control systems are inside its cabinet. Hot tubs can be simplistic or feature intricate shells with a multitude of jets. Spas are usually attached to an in-ground pool and require considerably more energy to maintain a hot temperature.
Hot tubs and saunas are similar, with both providing heat to relax the body and alleviate aches and pains as well as a peaceful setting in which to relax. However, hot tubs are typically more versatile than saunas in term
FAQ About Pools
Cleaning a swimming pool involves more than merely skimming the water for floating leaves and debris. To thoroughly clean your swimming pool, you must also check the pH balance of the water, empty skimmer baskets, vacuum the pool’s floor, and clean the filter and pool pump. The frequency with which you need to clean your pool will depend on usage and location, so call our team for an inspection and to learn more about our pool and hot tub maintenance plans.
We recommend draining and acid washing your pool periodically to extend its lifespan. But how frequently this must be done will vary based on your usage, whether you have hard water, and chemistry maintenance. You may need to acid wash your pool as often as every other year or as irregularly as every seven years, but our professionals can help you determine the best course of action. If you have especially hard water as most of us do in Utah, we suggest draining your pool annually.
It is best to drain the water from your hot tub or spa much more frequently than you would your pool. The Spa and Pool Guy recommends draining and refilling your hot tub every 8-10 weeks with regular use. During periods when you are not using it regularly, you may be able to stretch the time between water replacement to 12-14 weeks.
Saltwater pool maintenance will differ from the maintenance necessary for pools using chlorine, so always The Spa and Pool Guy before introducing chemicals. The chemicals you will need may include total alkalinity, pH, calcium hardness, and sanitizers. Spas and hot tubs will typically require bromine tablets and non-chlorine oxidizers to ensure cleanliness. We have the right products to help your spa and pool feel great and last longer.
After chemicals disperse throughout your pool’s water – which typically takes 30 minutes to an hour – feel free to dive into the deep end. However, if you are using a shock treatment, allow 12 hours for the water to pass through your filter.
You should test your pool water at least once per week, but we recommend checking the pH and chlorine levels in your Utah pool biweekly for superior safety.
